First off im running 2 amps. An autotek mm4000 and a kicker zx 450.2. i'll have a 200a alt sometime next week and i have a red top under my hood, will this be sufficient or do i still need a 2nd battery?

The autotek takes 2 - 1/0 power and 2 - 1/0 grounds. the kicker is 4g power and ground. So, do i need to do 2 runs of 1/0 and 1 run of 4g from the batt to the back or would it be alright to just split off from one of the 1/0 runs to the kicker amp?

Finally, what size fuses do i need to run?

First: nice ride

second: I've never known any amplifier to require two power and two ground wire inputs. I cannot seems to find a good picture of this amp's wiring so i could be wrong.

My suggstion would be to run a single large power wire 1/0 and use a distribution block. Knukoncepts made the ones that i used for my 4 awg.

My brothers infinity beta digital amps used 2 seperate power and ground connections. For his particular amp, the reason was because it was actually two seperate amps in one chasis. It was a 300x2 amp. Each pair of +/- input was for a specific "channel". Not sure if that is the same case for this amp though

that's understandable, thought rather odd. In any case a dist-block should help keep wiring traffic and wiring costs to a minimum. I'd also suggest running a dist-block for the grounds as well. It makes things much cleaner looking and helps prevent ground loops. (seen below are ways I used dist-blocks to clean up wiring multiple power and ground wires)

thw autotek amp i have is basically 2 mono amps in one case that will be run internally strapped at 2 ohms for 4000 watts. so ill have 2 full runs of 1/0 fropm the battery, i just wasnt sure if i should use a dist. block and run the kicker amp off one of the 1/0 runs or should i run another full run of wire from the battery to the amp. I also done really know what size fuse to run in each of the 1/0 runs.

here is the power hookup on the amp

Vid is a must, when the setup is complete. Seeing as though you have the Mag's in a 1cuf sealed box, I take it that you are aiming for SPL (Must be if your running 4K w) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif.

I would run two 1/0ga wires and one 4ga wire. There isn't a whole lot that a distro block will do for you since I don't know if even 4/0ga has the capacity of two 1/0 and a 4ga wire combined. If it does then you could use a couple distro blocks, otherwise....you're gonna have a lot of wires.

Technically speaking you could splice a 4ga off one of the 1/0ga wires and it should work. How well, or what effects it will have is speculation and depends on a whole lot of factors. I just would eliminate any chance of something going wrong and wire it up right the first time.

since i already have 1 run of 1/0 that i had my other amp hooked to im gonna leave that and just run it to a dist block and run the 4g from that and then run 2 more runs of 1/0 for the autotek, i just need to know what size fuses to use and wether a 200amp alt and a red top will be enough.
