i now have a dual head unit. model xd6320. I think its failing on me so im wondering if this head unit is much better than what i ahve now. http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5436

my amp is the lanzar opti drive...

i will be running alpine type s off my hu though.

so will the high pass feature on this hu be a good idea...

or any other suggestions for less than 185 would be my budget

Yes, anything is better than your Dual. The Alpine is a new unit but you may be able to find the 9883 for around the same price if you look around.

so i would want to find a 9883 and buy that.

ill buy this one its just i saw on teh other one it had a high pass filter adn it doesnt say anything about a hpf on the 9883.

the reason is that im running my alpine type s off my hu.

or should i be worried about the lpf.

also another question with these head units do i have to control the ipod only through the HU or can i still control the songs from my ipod.
