yeah, the voice coils were shorting out. I don't know if they have fixed the problems yet or not.

I don't know, I've never heard one. My friend got one, but it was one of the ones with the bad v/c so we never got to hear it.

Because tweeter is the reference listening spot for car subwoofers right? Why comment like this when you next to no experience with Type X's and most likely little to no experience with W7s.

I care....and i hear they are awesome....i heard they are better than a w7. Which doesnt suprise me cause i think the w7 sounds like ass cept for one install i heard with a 13.5.

Sorry fellas, but I gotta agree with Norcal.........I've yet to be impressed by a W7 myself, and wouldn't find it hard to believe that another sub could sound better.
