imma genius. so **** it!
so i just went to try and install my H701 processor with my W205, and i need some help...

the unit is not letting me control the processor at all. it seems like it is recognizing it, but it wont let me control it at all. i have the PAC device wired up, so that should be cancelling out the safety.

i need some help, because this is really starting to piss me off... for the life of me, i cant figure out why it wont let me adjust anything. someone, please help me...

I wish I could help, but I dont own an h701 (dammit!).

Consider this a get attention bump.

One thing, on my old Alpine HU it requires a switch to be moved ontop of the unit to turn the Ai-Net on.

Does your W205 have that?

That's what I was going to mention.

Might be a switch....IIRC my 9860 required a switch be flipped if there was an external processor attached.

I have an H701, but I control it with a 9860 and never used the W205.

So I can almost-sorta help //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i had an issue with this too...i accidentally switch the foot brake and E brake wires...You make sure everything is correctly wired?
yeah, the pac unit bypasses that security feature (assuming this is the same bypass as to play a DVD), i guess i should re-check to make sure it is still playing DVD's...

yeah, it has a "norm" and an EQ/DIV function, i have it switched over to the EQ/DIV function. for the life of me i cant figure it out...

one thing that i also thought was weird is that it took away alot of my control/set up finctions. and they are still MIA. i dont know what that is all about...

squeak please fix my shit lol. im about ready to ebay it all this has me so frustrated...

Know anybody else with an H701 or W205 ?

After checking to be sure you have a properly wired bypass, the next easiest step would be to try someone else's equipment with yours to be sure it isn't an equipment malfunction.....if that's an option.

H701's aren't known to be fault-proof.

alright, good news and bad news...

first, the bad news. im a moron.

the good news, i got it figured out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

it was my bypass. when i hooked up the remote turn on wire for my amp, i completely forgot that the bypass needs a remote turn on as well, and i didnt re-connect it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif . so, with no bypass, i couldnt control anything.

this also magically returned all my control functions that were "missing" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif .

so to sum it up, im a moron who should not be trusted with car audio equipment.

thanks for the help guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
