ok ive read that for setting gains with a dmm you should have all settings at 0..ive also read that for an alpine that +15 on the sub output level is actually 0.. and that for alpine headunits you should set it at 15/15 when setting gains with a dmm.. is this the same for eclipse headunits also? mine goes up to 6.. should i leave it at 0 when setting the gain or put it at 6?

i have an alpine deck...i just set my gains accordingly i usually leave the bass at +5

which is a good average stand point...if i ever feel like bringing it down the bass for what ever reason or listenning to the news i can turn it down to 0...if i feel like showing to some friends

i could still go up to 15

its up to you really but if you would like to really turn down your bass sometimes

you're better off tunning your gain with the bass at +3...if you wanna squeeze out

as much bass as possible do it at 0
