Alpine V-Drive Power

I am soon purchasing an Alpine HU, either the 7893 or 7894, and I was wondering if the V-Drive amp has enough juice to power a pair of 5 1/4" components? Im looking to get Alpine's Type R components which handle 40W RMS. Anybody have their compnents hooked up to their Alpine HU?????
