ALPINE TYPEX vs JL W7?

i plan on buying the type x but whats the views of it vs the JL w7..

im looking for some powerful name brand that i can trust..

both pushes 1000rms which i want and the type x is 3000peak and the w7 is 2000peak

first off before they come in here and feed you to the sharks dont pay attention to MAX Power! that number is bullbutter, second you are comparing subs that are not on the same level. W7s are good subs but way over priced and type xs are good but not the best in their price range. Why do you want a so called POWERFUL brand you can trust? there are many smaller companies that will blow both those subs away.....what do you want SPL, SQ or SQL and whats your budget? we can help you find a sub that fits you

Type X has great quality as does the W7, but the W7 just outperforms it in output, straight up

Prices are completely different, and as said we could always find you something not quite so mainstream that will impress you, but for a fraction of the cost of mainstream

I think the W7 sounds downright great. friend had one in jl's high output ported box. powered by a jl 1000/1. the type X sounds good too but if money wasnt an issue i would go with the w7 hands down

To do what exactly? Just get loud? There are plenty that can best it in that dept for cheaper.

However, it is a well rounded sub that sounds great and has potential to get very loud while maintaining sound quality.

The mags from Stereo Integrity look to be a worthy match for the w7 and for a lower price tag.

mags would give it a run for the money at about half the price, still a high price tag.
