Alpine Type R 15 or Kicker CVX 15?

I cant decide on alpine or kicker. Has anyone heard either of these subs? I'm up for other options but i only have $200 to spend and they are both in my price range

crutchfield had type r 12'' for 110 each, are you taking into account amp box and electrical? you'll end up being in close to 50 bucks on just wire.

You can find Type R 12's for 97 shipped. I've never heard a CVX 15 in person but my buddy has a Type R 15 it gets loud i like it but hes only running750 to it they can take more.

I have a hifonics bxi1210d, it pushes 900rms @2 ohms and 1200rms @1, I also have a 15" slot port box to put it in, and I'm running 0 gauge wire to the amp and 12 gauge wire to the sub. I had a lanzar 15 but i fried it, it was only rated for 600w rms and it was wired at 2 ohms so it didnt last long

i have two type r 12's at one ohm about 1500W and all i can say is wow..i could just imagine what a 15 would do on the right wattage..so im just tellin you that i have type r's and they are very amazing for the price

im still down with the kicker, and i dont usually recommend kicker

I was leaning toward the type r, but that only has an rms of 750, the cvx has an input of 1000w

My box is a 3.4 cubic foot slot port i got on ebay. its solid 5/8 mdf

i have a custom box that my friend built tuned to 35hz..i dont have pics if you want i can get some tomorrow bc i'll be in there working on installing some eye-ball tweeters so i can snap some pics right quick

just make sure you have the right electrical to handle these subs bc they can take some power..it makes a huge different if you have the right wiring and amp etc.

He has plenty of power for either sub. Especially if he runs a DVC 2 ohm down to 1 ohm. His electrical should be ok with that wattage if he has a decent stock alt. Maybe Big 3.

And subs don't factor into electrical..They don't draw power...They are only given power.
