alpine tye x or audioque HDC3?

i no the alpine are more sq and the audioque's are more spl. but which do u think id be happier with?

i'd be running 2 12's and they'd be on a audioque 2200d amp at 1 ohms. im getting a 220amp HO alt(110 idle) and i'm gonna get a big 3 wire upgrade also ill be running my system on a kinetik HC1800. custom box ported for the audioques and sealed for the type x's. (unless any of u can tell me y ported for the x's would be better.)

so tell me which u would choose! thanks!!

two 12" type x's off 2200 rms in a 4.0 tuned to 32 would be awesome

kinda hard for someone else to tell you what you like. depends on if you want type of music you listen to and what your goals are.

rap and my goals are just to have a system that pounds. ive heard that these have great sq but still have pretty good spl.

I think id definately take the aq over the type x. You can recone your sub to like new again for cheap with the aq too if you ever have problems with it.

AQ 12's off a 3500D would be a KILLER daily set up. tune around 36Hz if you want to murder the lows. Just built a set up like that a few weeks ago, tuned to 38Hz and it's beating the guy's car to death....

SQ can be VERY good with the HDC's in the proper enclosure and a little time spent tuning...

IMHO, thats too high for the type x. you wanna go low. and they sound great/get low and loud, but like ^^^ said, if you blow the x it's just blown. you can't get it reconed AFAIK. but i love mine, and if you know wtf you are doing you wont blow it anyways

My SQ on my AQ's are decent. Not up to par with the type X but gets loud, however 2 12's on 2200 isn't alot for those subs. They'll be hungry for more, my 3K gets them moving, but they shine with 4K. I do plan on gettng another 3K when I get a new car.
