Let me introduce you to my 2 new friends, Alpine SPX-f17t 3-way crossovers.

They are beefalicious; if loving them is wrong, I don't want to be right. Is it wrong to dryhump a crossover?

Each one is the size of my Audison lrx 2.150 amp.

Here is one of them:

I'm not 100% sure of the plan yet; but here's what I was thinking:

Peerless 851123 CSX 6-1/2" Woofer 4 Ohm

Dayton RS100-4 4" Reference Full-Range Driver 4 Ohm

http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-378

SEAS Prestige 27TFFNC/G (H1396) 1" Textile Dome Tweeter

But at the same time I'm thinking maybe I should go a little

higher end and try to do these things more justice.

This is a setup I'd like to do in the future:

Woofer/Midbass - http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=45_228_256&products_id=8234

Mid - http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=45_228_256&products_id=8181

Tweet - http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=45_229_250&products_id=633

The new ID OEMs look pretty dang sexy and their specs are superior to the previous OEMs. Too many good drivers out there for someone on a low budget like me. =/

You don't see too many setups where the mid is a 7" and the woofer is a 6.5"

I bet it will be nice though.

I think my crossover points are 400hz and 4000hz.

From what I've read, the SLS does great on midbass duty up to 400hz I believe, although I may be wrong on that particular number. They're also priced reasonably, which helps. They'd probably go in my doors, so 6.5" works great for me. The ER18NX seems to reproduce the type of sound I like from what I've read. I was thinking about making a custom enclosure for them, oh yee. But yeah, the size thing didn't cross my mind before. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Oh snap, just noticed the 6.5" SLS is out of stock. They run about $90/pair I believe.

What HU will be in the wifes car?

I'd suggest you use every input, which would need a lot of channels of amplification. Individual level/gain control for each channel would be nice.

But to get started I was going to use the 100wx2 VGA 100.2 some dude on the

forum sold me:)

I want to know what drivers! I'm now thinking Dayton 7", Dayton 4", SEAS 27 fabrics.

The HU and SEAS will come from my car. That way I can justify a 9835 and Illuminators.

7" in the doors, 4" in the kicks, tweeter stock location reflects off the

window (may not be to good). I have to get the door panel off to see

what I'm working with; All three in the door in a linear array would be my

first choice.

I do need two of the gold bars, the mid section, on the upper left, of both

crossovers have no bar.
