Alpine Speaker level input to stock HU

Hi,

I;m in the process of installing my Alpine MRP-F240 amp in my ***** Am, and I'm keeping the stock HU. I'm going to run the speaker level inputs, but my question is since I'm running those, thats all I need, right?? No LOC? Is that already built in? So, I just run the power, ground, and the inputs? And finally, do I just splice the wires at the speakers or the back of the HU? Do I cut anything, or the speakers will still run off the HU, they'll just be "converted"? I appreaciate any response and sorry if I'm all over the place! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The amp has a built in LOC. You can choose to either splice into the wires at any point or you can simply remove them from the speakers in the rear and run them right to the amp.

ok, so I did the install today, and I haven't noticed much of a difference. I mean, its a hundred times better, I switched the stock speakers with Pioneer's, but it seems like the amp hasn't turned on, or its not getting power. The blue light on the amp is on, but, I don't know......it doesn't sound right....am I supposed to not have the speakers running off the HU? Meaning behind the speakers, don't connect anything? just run wires from the HU to the amp?? If that's the case, then I know where I screwed up.....anybody got any ideas??? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif
