alpine/sirius satellite radio tuner

I recently picked up a Sirius Satellite Radio Tuner, the model number is SIRALP2C. It has a "pass through" AI net connection on it so I can hook up another ai net compatible unit. In order to hook up an ipod as well, will I need the KCA-420i, or is there a different adapter wire that I have to buy?
