alpine problems

ok i got an alpine from a freind i know somthings wrong with it but i have no clue whats wrong with it. When you go to put it a cd somtimes it will take the cd and others it wont but when it does it plays for a while and then quites and if you try to eject it it wont all the time and then if you shut it off and turn it back on it will eject if anyone can help me please respond.

o and its a model cde-7870 with bass engine

well i went and put it in my truck and now it seems so be working right most of the time but sometimes it will like static out or somthing and gets all messed up but if you remove the cd and then put it back in it works fine

have you tried using one of those cd player sensor cleaner cd's?

i'm not sure if they work in car stereo hu's or not, but its worth a try.

I just upgraded my Hu to a alpine 7998 and it does the exact same thing you said about the cd playing and getting static and then it stops playing. I take out the cd and it works again for about a miniute and it does it again. Well I still dont know what is wrong with it but I called Alpine and I sent it to them so they can fix it, it was under warrenty... I should be getting it back next week
