Alpine PLT-5 LAT??

Anyone know much about these? I am looking into getting a system for my 96 Cobra, need something compact, cheap, and decent sounding. How do you think this system will work?

Other option is the Infinity Basslink, but really like the looks of the Alpine much better. I am considering a pair of Kicker CV 10's with a Kicker 300 watts amp, or possibly a single 10, but really want an all in one system. Thanks for any input.

i've heard that those alpine plt systems mess up pretty quick

im not sure if the amp overheats or the voice coil is messing up but ive been told to stay away

i have not tried it myself though
