Alpine pdx 4.150 on Crescendo CCX 6.5

Hey guys,

I recently bought a Alpine pdx 4.150 thanks to @audiobaun and Im curious as to where I should cross them over, set the high pass.. etc etc. Gains will be set with a DD1... always had a guy that helps me with my installs set my cross over points and whatnot. But since im in college i don't have access to him (no ****) a lot.

If you dont have any signal processing before or after, then I would set channels 3/4, or both however you have it wired, to HP and around 80-100. Depends on what your lpf is set to on your sub amp ( assuming the gear in your sig is up to date)

Running exactly what's in my sig, I'm running all 4 channels at 4 ohms to the cross overs, then to the speakers obviously. @ 4 ohm this amp puts out 150 rms a channel, just a question though, why set to 3&4 rather then all 4?

Are you running the channels bridged? if so, be careful setting your gain!

if your using all 4 then set both filters to hp, at the same point as your sub amp lpf.. for simplicity, if your sub amp's lpf is 80hz then your hp on the pdx should be 80 hz... try that out!

Ill use that as a starting point for sure.

I am not, I'm running 2 sets of crescendo ccx6.5s.

I am, running the crescendos with the crossovers they came with, and for tweets I'm using the Rockford T1s in my sig

Im lazy, check and see if they come with passive crossovers, if so pretty sure you wanna do as I said.. If they are active.. DAFUQ!?

They DO come with passive cross overs, I was running them with my previous amp also.. I'm not running them active.
