Alpine PDX 4.100 or 4.150 How much Difference?

My opinion is you can buy a LOT better things for $100 when its in regards to this issue. For example, I recently bought a Coustic 505-DR on eBay for $68. It's on par with Zed amps for quality and ask anyone about the Design Reference amps, they're good. It's rated at 50x2 at 4 Ohms but is underrated.

Anyways, save that $100 to make the fixes to your install.

Where do you plan to buy? And how much are the ones you are buying?
And what Bacon said is true as well. we assume you will deaden your doors and all of that right? The money you don't spend on the 4.150 could be used on that.

Is size and the fact that they are class D 4 channel amps the seller for you on picking between these 2 amps? There are other amps that put out more power, but some are twice the size.

Yes, size was a limiting factor when deciding his amps.

the price for these two amps new is just about $100 apart no matter where you buy them.

Well, yes but... I am not buying the amp to make the problem go away. I do understand that the problems still need to be addressed, and I plan to do it.
The basic premise of my original question still stands - is 50 additional watts worth $100 additional dollars?

Its starting to seem like it isnt.

is having a 600 watt amp worth the 100 dollars over a 400 watt amp?
