hey steve, sorry for calling you a fool, even though it wasnt aimed at you. i was just joking and im also sure that most of yall know more about this stuff than me. it kinda makes me mad when someone is making fun of my hu (7995) when i was told it was really nice, and i kinda like the looks too. on the looks its nothing special though, i will give you that, but it still looks nice.

i dont know why you would say that. for every pioneer there is a more expensive alpine, i dont know the new pioneers (2003) or the new alpines, but before those no pioneer has been over 600$ the average pioneer is about 300, and the average alpine is about 420. and the f1 status is obviously clearly than any pioneer ever made, and if you would rather have a pioneer than that, then i think you are a moron. i have nothing against pioneer, and i think its a good thing that they are cheaper, more people can afford them. i was about to get a p740mp before i got my alpine 7995. it was the only other thing that i wanted.

The advantage the F1 System has over the P9 combo it ONLY features. It has a more feature loaded processor. Is the CDA-7990 better than the DEX-P9........NO WAY!!!! Internally or sonically, one is not any better than the other. I certainly don't think it looks better. They actually use many of the same parts such as the DACs. Yep, your right. The Alpine isnt really worth 4 grand or whatever it is...the parts arent that expensive Still a very high quality head unit, though.

Can't wait for the H2's though. Will miss the red amps though. Maybe they will make a commerative edition that will be in all red Probalby will get an Orion 2500 amp and I will for a fact get a H2 15". Have no complaints with the HCCA's though. Would like to find a less harsh tweet for my components though

Glad you like the equipment. I had no complaints when I used to run the XTR and HCCA lines from Orion. Let me know when you pick up your H2

Depends on where you go and what kind of job you want. The best place to go is probably a dealer. That will also probably be the most expensive route. Depends where you live. Monopolies grow wild. My place would charge probably about 2000 if there was minor bodywork.
