Alpine or Kicker???

4 12" Alpine Type R ....OR....2 15" Kicker L7.........(i have 2 hifonics brutus 1500) so if i do the 4 12's i will hook 2 subs to each amp or if i do the 15's i will hook one sub per amp. Any suggestions?

yeah the 2 15" l7 would be just like my setup, and my setup is pretty loud, i think it will be louder than 4 12" imo...................

Yeah.....ear plugs.j/k Its hard to say, but I am biased so go with the L7's. :thumbsup

I have 4 12" Alpine Type R's and my friend has 2 15" L7's, both setups with around 1400WRMS. Each one is loud as hell... which is louder is too hard to tell without each of us taking out our seats, adjusting the amps and getting them tested. Either way is a good set up and will get more then loud enough... but the Type R's will sound better.

I fell the L7s would do the trick, they are great subs all around IMO

thanks for your opinions...but now it looks like i dont have near as much room as i thought. I have a 1998 Ford f150 ext. cab but dont plan on taking out the back seat. My options are build box and lay it on back seat (pretty gay imo), take out half of the bench seat and put maybe 1 15" (and i think that will be pushin space) or throw a cover over the bed and put the 2 15's back there. I already have the amps and everything (2 1500bd's and 2 15" L7's) because i was planning on putting them in the back of my explorer til i totaled it. So now i have all this stuff and wanna use as much as i can. I will downsize if i need to or maybe go with a 15" louder than the L7, I just want the loudest i can get with the space i have. Any ideas on the box situation and any ideas on some new subs would be great.

i dont think it would be a good idea to put the 15's in the bed unless u do a cut thru...cuz without a cut thru more than likely all u will here is your bed rattling like hell

Thats gonna be hard to do. L7's are pretty potent. I mean its possible there's subs out there that can get louder but why spend more money when you have the L7 already. That should be loud enough IMO.

Make a bracket to raise the back seat up 2" and you should be able to fit 4 10" L7's under there. That is one of my friends did, of course they had to all be in a sealed box... or you could do 2 10" subs ported that way... just a suggestion.
