alpine or hifonics

i just dont get it most people went with hifonics because it was liker $100 cheaper and they cry for a 100 watts that they dont get? well i just got a BX1500d and it was broken so i sent it in to sergey to get fixed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so a Bx1500D for $177 after buying shipping to me and shipping to them to get fixed and shipped back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif good as new //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif cant wait to hear it.
precicly the reason.

bad craftsman ship = headaches.

lots of times people get them UNWARRANTIED on ebay, and therefore end up paying more to get them fixed rather then getting a better amp.

do you understand that $100 is NOT paying for 100 more watts. its paying for an amp that will last your entire life and never break.

why cant you kids understand this. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

i understand craftsmanship like not buying Black and decker tools to be a carpenter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

but not everyone has had problems with the hifonics. the people that have a scope to set the gains wont burn it out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the guy that had this amp before me got it in a trade and that guy didnt have a clue as to what he was doing. so for all we know he turned the gains up till it sounded good and left it. which would burn up most amps.....

so it all comes down to knowing how to use what you have. if you happen to buy the B & D you dont push it... period.

ANeonRider,
That's really not the right attitude when buying an amp. If you say something like that about an amp, then that in itself should steer you away from it.
I never said it "will" break, but if I happen to f-up and hurt the amp, I have the ability to fix it, therefore it won't be a headache if that happens.

i have both amps an alpine and a hifonics 1500 B the hifonics is a fine solid amp for the money. truth about it is the head of the torx screw on my alipine has stripped out on the power ... the torx screws on the hifonics are fine .....

i have a 1500d. when i first hooked it, it sounded good, then fried. got another sent, fried that one too. both in less than 4 hrs. of usage. i was pissed, but i came to this forum and started explaining my problem, i found out i had my wiring for this amp a little fuked up. i felt really stupid afterwards for chewing the place i bought the amp from out.

since i've had it hooked up right though, i haven't had a single problem with it. i like mine. but, no doubt, alpine does make some good $hit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif

It'd be funny if you completely destroyed the power supply //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You got the schematics of the amp?

the problem is they don't put out what they claim. i have used a bx1000D and it it didn't do what it should've done.
Pardon the absolutely "DUMB" question, but is your electrical system running at 14.4 volts?? Please go to Hifonics website and look at the specifications. Unless you have actually bench tested the amplifier with a constant 14.4 volts and a 1 ohm dummy load on the amp how can you reasonably say "it didn't do what it should've done"?
