alpine or hifonics

well im getting 2 12" alpine type r subs.......together they push out 600 watts. I want ur opinion on whether i should go with hifonics or alpine......or if u have ne other suggestions that would b a great help

alpine amps are expensive and type r's are cheap, up to you i'd personally get a bx1000. my friend got one the other day it's not bad at all from what i can see

dont get me wrong alpine amps are nice but theyre expensive

If those are dual 4 ohm you will be looking for a 1 ohm stable amp or an amp that will push 600watts @ 4 ohm which will up your cost.

I have the Hifonics 1000d and it works great so far. It would give those subs assuming you had a 1 0hm load anywhere from 800-900 watts.

Can anyone provide legitimate reasons for hating Hifonics amplifiers so much. Hifonics does not falsely advertise their amps. If you go to their website, it clearly states that the BX1500D does 1500 watts @14.4 volts and the BX1000D does 1000 watts @ 14.4 volts. Frankly I am sick and tired of everyone hating on Hifonics because "everyone has one and its just not cool anymore". That would pretty much be like saying Resonant Engineering or Adire subwoofers **** *** because everyone has one. Unless you have actually used a Hifonics amp in a 14.4 volt scenario you really have no basis for saying "Hifonics amps don't produce what they advertise". It may be true that everyone has one, but it isn't because they don't perform. Think before you speak, you may not look like such retards next time.

well... I like my Hifonics, but Alpine amps are still way better (at a cost mind you). Only downside (besides price) to the Alpine amps is that they are not 1 ohm stable.

the problem is they don't put out what they claim. i have used a bx1000D and it it didn't do what it should've done.

maybe becuase your electrical system does not put out 14.4V??? The ratings are at 14.4, so take it for what it is worth....

from what ive seen, alot of people have been having issues with their hifonics amps as of late. people have been trying to dump them... and alot of "hifonics XXXXd in protect mode! please help" kind of threads have been popping up.

it may be to stupid people. it may be to faulty products. who knows. ive also heard that people arent getting the RMS from them that they claim. and that to me is a sign of lower crafstmanship, or lying. i cant say that they are bad amps, because i dont have one. but i do own alpine equipment, and i will vouche that their stuff is rock solid, and it has the price to proove it.

the fact of the matter is;
