Alpine MRP-M650

you need to run the type r 12 in a ported box they will run in a sealed but ported is so much better i allmost sold my type rs because i hated the way they sounded sealed but i tried a ported box and im glad i kept them

If you want to keep that amp, keep 1 type r and sell the other. Build yourself a ported box and hopefully you got the D4 type r so you can get 600 watts to it. I installed the exact set up in a buddy of mines car and its a good set up. Youll like it alot.

or you could get a bigger amp and put them in a dual ported box which would be loud.

what do you want sq or spl?

he says he has 2 650's so each sub should be seeing 650 ish watts as long as they are wired correctly.

go ported with the r's you will be much happier with them.
