Alpine MRP-M500 big enough for JL 10w7?

Currently have a Alpine MRP-m500 amp running a JL Audio 10w6v2 and I am looking to upgrade to a JL Audio 10w7. My question is will the Alpine amp be able to handle the 10w7?

The 10w7 is 3ohm and all the stuff I read about the Alpine is its either 4ohm or 2ohm, and I cant find anybody online with this particular combo.

You need a continuous power amp which puts out the same watts over all resistances. Such as the Rockford Power Series or JL Slash Series ect. JL making you buy there amps...

what are the specs on that amp? Is it 250@4 and 500@2? If so, running the JL may mean you'll be getting power in between those two numbers.

Unless the JL is Dual 3, which would change things up a bit

I ran a 10w7 on an MTX 6500d for a while(500 @ 2 ohms) and it seemed to do just fine.

And as far as an amp that puts out the same power over all loads, I would love to see this tested. I mean I know that some are

rated for the same output at 1, 2, and 4 but I would bet that they are not the same.

probably, but the differences are miniscule, that's why they can claim it as such
