alpine mrp-m1000 for $140 used?

I saw this deal on craigslist. The guy is saying the amp is in mint condition. The specs are:

4 ohms: 600 watts x 1 chan.

2 ohms: 1000 watts x 1 chan.

I'm still pretty much a noob so I'm wondering if this is a good deal. Also wondering if Alpine is the kind of company that makes amps that actually do the amount of watts advertised. Thanks for any help.

I'd try to get it for $100 at the very most, but that's just me lol... is it worth it? 1k rms @ 2 ohms / MINT (IF it is) = YES it is worth it imo, and Yes Alpines do rated

I also found another potential amp on craigslist for $125. It's a Memphis 1.1000 rated for:

4 ohms: 300 watts x 1 chan.

2 ohms: 600 watts x 1 chan.

1 ohm: 1000 watts x 1 chan.

Anyone know if these produce advertised wattage? Which would be a better deal?

Yes those do rated as well but the Alpine is a better deal & a better amp imo - The alpine makes it's 1k RMS @ 2 ohms, where the Memphis makes it @ 1 ohm... But depending on what sub(s) you plan on running you may want your power to be made at 1 ohm? Either one is a descent deal if they are clean and in proper working order though... Just depends on what sub(s) you are looking to power...

I ended up buying the alpine amp. I know this probably isn't the right section to ask this, but does anyone have suggestions on a good subwoofer for a 1000 watt at 2 ohm amp?

Idmax 12 d4. I had one on that exact amp a while back, sounded absolutely amazing.
