I'm looking for an amplifier that can fit under my seat, power a set components (yet to decide) and my 2 RE8 subs. Since I have a small car, I would like to find one amplifier that can do it all.
On ebay and on the alpine website the ratings are listed as:
• Per channel into 4 ohms: 70W x 4 (0.08% THD)
• Per channel into 2 ohms: 140W x 4
• Brigded 4 ohms: 350W x 2 (0.3% THD)
However if you download the owners manual, or look at most online retailers the ratings are
• Per channel into 4 ohms: 70W x 4
• Per channel into 2 ohms: 100W x 4
• Brigded 4 ohms: 200W x 2
This is about the biggest amp that will fit under my seat. The first specifications would be perfect. The only other amps I could find that met this criteria are a Lanzar optidrive, which is more expensive than the alpine; a brax that costs 1500$; and the PG ryval v754.
The PG is about the same size, but once I add the RCA's, power and ground, I'm worried it won't fit, since the Alpine's connections are indented, I think I can make it fit.
Thanks
Jeff
