Alpine kttp-445a power pack

Hi, Im quite new to car audio. I have an alpine deck and have purchased the alpine kttp-445a power pack. My issue is that my car runs off a 10a radio circuit, the deck has 10 amp fuse, and the amp has 15. Crutchfield says this amp requires a 15a circuit, so i must cut amp power wire and run power to battery. I have a newer alpine deck and it is one of the few that are compatible with the plug and play amp, but the deck has 10a, kind of confusing as to why it would require 15a when the deck they made is 10a. I am really hoping to avoid cutting these wires and ruining plug and play. Any help would be greatly appreciated by this humble noob.
