Alpine IVA-W505 w/ Nav or Dumbest Question EVER

OK, so I've got my IVA-W505 MOSTLY installed...still gotta get some wires out of the way, etc. I don't have power to the amp yet so no sound, but the HU powers up and seems to work OK. So I have the NVE-P1 or whatever the dockable Nav unit is called, and I'm trying dock it. Should be pretty freakin' simple. Only....I can't get the door up, or off, or whatever, to insert the Nav module. The instructions say you can pull it down by putting your finger in the area at the top of the door...no way, it feels like I'd pull the whole HU out of the dash if I pulled any harder. Then it says something like "If the faceplate is attached, remove that first." Huh. So maybe that's the faceplate...but how the hell do I remove it? Pulling or prying in that finger hole isn't working as I mentioned above. There is nothing else on there that tells me what to do or how to do it! WTF?!

I'm sure someone will know the answer and it will seem completely obvious at that point, but I'm baffled.

OK, never mind, I figured it out. Actually, I just got pissed and started prying at the cover with a screwdriver and it popped off. It clips in and covers the opening, I guess I was expecting something a bit more sophisticated. Whatever, its working now so I need to get used the the Nav.

I don't have it fully set up yet...its installed...sort of...but still hanging half out of the dash. The SWI-Jack steering wheel control box isn't working right yet (my fault I'm sure). And, while I have the Imprint processor, I haven't tuned it yet. That said, I am really loving the HU. The screen is gorgeous, and has all the bells and whistles I wanted (admittedly, I had to get some of them separately, like the HD Radio tuner and the Nav/Bluetooth).
