Alpine Iva-d310 VS. Pioneer AVIC N2

Alright, so I have two friends that are offering me their fold outs, and i'm wondering which one is the better of the two.

I have an alpine 9835 and I love it, but i'd love a touchscreen better.

The alpine is a bit more expensive than the pioneer, but if the alpine is better, then I don't mind spending the extra money.

I guess 'better' is a bit vauge. I know the pioneer has nav built in, which is pretty nice, but it doesn't really sway me one way or another. Basically which ones is the better sounding and better quality unit.

I think they are both discontinued. With newer models obviously.

Just seeing which one is 'better' betwee the two.

they'll probably 'sound' the same.

d310 has t/a. don't know about n2.

n2 has nav. d310 doesn't.

d310 screen looks much nicer.

Also, the Alpines offer external processing units if you ever choose to do an active front stage setup...pretty sure Pioneer doesn't offer such a thing.
