Alpine IVA-D310 Randomly Went Out...

As i was driving down the road (music at little louder level with subs WAY down), the HU randomly shut off. If i turn off the car, wait a couple seconds, and turn it back on, the HU will turn on for about 5-6 seconds and than shut off again....

...ive tried everything from reseting it from pushing in the button on Faceplate to disconnecting power from battery itself...

...can ANYBODY help me?...

...has anybody ever heard of this happening before?...

i was wondering this too. Mine works, but sometimes it will randomly just shut off, but when it comes back on it works fine.

I have a IVA-D105 and I use to have it in a 99 eclipse and I noticed that Jagsfan61 has a civic in his avatar so I was wondering what kind of car ur headunit is in? In japanese cars you have to have a second ground for the radio. I'm not sure if thats the solution to your problem but it's worth a shot.

...well ive had the head unit and everything installed since may 08. it just happend for first time the other day. I somehow fixed it by resetting it, and when powered up i held the power button in and it fixed it...

...Problem happend again yesterday and i cant fix it this time...

haha nice try. Talking with some people they said it might just be a problem with a ribbon cable...Not really sure though.
