Alpine Imprint vs. Trunk EQ

Ive been trying to find a good deal on a used Imprint kit,but haven't had much luck so I have to buy new. Heres my question, the imprint kit with shipping and tax is a little over 200.00. I came across an AudioControl EQS for 100.00,is the imprint kit really worth the extra 100.00 or could I get similar results with the EQS? The HU is an Alpine IXA W407. Im running ID XS65's in the front,no rears and I have a RE 12" SX sub.

Any opinions would be great. I want to do this ASAP because to me the HU like it is sounds crappy to my ears, I need some SQ improvements.

Anyone have any input on this? Can you comment on the EQS?

I've ran the imprint a few times and it definitely helps get things close. Time alignment is easy to do yourself with a little math skill and a tape measure. EQ is a little more subjective and what sounds good to one person might sound harsh to another.
