Alpine ida-x200 audio settings?

Anyone know the perfect audio settings for this head unit (bass, treble, hfp, etc)? I tried playing with it going along with my subs (two 12 inch type r, 4ohm) but I cant get a loud enough, hard hitting sound that I really like.

Each car will be different because of interior shapes, volumes and surfaces (leather, wood, plastic, glass etc.) Also the hardware you have has a significant bearing on how it sounds when everything is combined. Sealed or ported box, amp gains, crossover points, the list goes on.

Have you tried taking it to a shop and have them set it up for you?

The shop I had install it knew nothing about the audio settings of Alpine. They were all into PBX and other systems.

You mean office phone systems?

How about taking it to a different audio shop?

I guess thats a possibility. It hits hard and its loud but I know it can do more work then it does.

I have the same HU and 2 12's in the trunk. I also have 6.5's all the way around. I have my HPF set at 120. I have both my bass and treble set to 0, but this is just me. When i am looking to get some serous base out if my subs i will turn the bass up to 3, bumps pretty hard with my setup. IDK if you know much about HPF but when you have them correctly tuned to your speakers, the bass from you speakers will drop alot. So when you turn up the bass setting you will mostly be turning up the sub bass. also the frequency on your treble needs to be tuned for your liking. Mine is set at 12.5. You can try to turn LOUD on too. although I thing this digitizes the music to much for me and is not true to the real sound. but that takes all of the lower level sounds and turns the up alot. this might be a good option for you too.
