U'll be fine with 2v preouts. Unless the gains on yer amp start at 2v

I have access to alpine refurbs. The amount of refurbs availble do not comply with anything that was said in this thread...

how do u know he's not gonna have noise in his system at 2v?

If hes got noise in his system at 2v chances are its gonna be there at 4v.

I've gone from 8v eclipses to 2v alpines to 4v pioneers noticed no difference and at the time I would consider my install extremely sloppy and a lot of chances for noise.

The main thing i noticed was how my amps gains where affected by it.. so if i was to purchase i'd try to match it up with what my amp's gains are...

I dont see why people bash the 9853 and 55 so much. I just got my 9853 and love it. The glidetouch isnt a gimmick it works fine for me and i actually like it very very easy to navigate the menus and such.

People have bashed them so much because many people had horrendous experiences with them breaking(some were on their 2nd or 3rd of those models).

I am sure some are having great experiences with those models, but being shocked because people are badmouthing those models just makes no sense. There certainly has been enough issues.
