I'm trying to get my friends alpine 9827 out of his car. I can detach the front face (duh) but how to I get the actual player to detach and expose the wiring harness?

or something similar (ive made 2 skinny flat head screwdrivers work b4) slide them between the unit and the cage.. and it should pull out relatively easy
