ok so here is the scenario installing new subs this weekend or sooner and just wanna make sure i dont fry them, so i know its recomended to keep the bass knob on the amp all down but on the deck should it be at -7 or 0........dose having it a -7 take away the bass meant in the recording of the songs?

You should try and set it up yourself, and see how it sounds. No one can tell you what to have it at...

Leave it at zero when making your adjustments.

Set it to zero and make sure your gain is set properly on the amp. Then decide if you want more or less bass.
