Alpine hd radio adapter

I got the Alpine TUA-T550 hd radio hooked up to my Alpine CDA 9886 head unit about a 3month ago. It has worked great until about a week ago. Sometimes when i start the car everything works except the hd radio ad on. Head unit comes on, will play CDs and ipod speakers, subs work but the radio stations will come up but will not show info or play any music. However the next time i start my car it will turn on and work. I believe there must be a problem with the HD radio adapter getting power from the battery, but I have no idea why sometimes it wont turn on. Does anyone have any advice or any experience or with this hd adapter or heard of anything similar??
