Does anyone know if the alpine harness for the cdm-7871 and the cda-9830 are the same? or where I can get one for the 9830?

well I compared the manuals and the don't look the same. trying to find one on ebay but it's not working.

Im sure they have it listed, but if you dont see it (their descriptions kinda suk), they have an 800# you can call.

Shouldnt be more than $10 or so.

I guess all I need is a plug that will fit the 9830...I can reconnect the wires as needed.

cmon all you people with two and three different alpine h/u's...let me know if the plugs are all different sizes....don' care about the colors of the wires....just if the plastic plug is interchangeable among different models.

Hey thanks man...this is a great site...I got a genuine alpine wiring harness from them for my 9830...but now The deck I bought won't eject...I took it apart and tried to fix it but it got just got worse ...I called partstore and they sell the whole entire cd transport mech for 95. I was very happy to hear that. well my 175 h/u is now 265 oh wells at least I can fix it...**** ebay...shouldnt have been a cheap *** and just bought new instead...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif thanks again though.

just send it in to alpine. its a $95 flat fee to fix whatever problem/s the HU has wrong with it. did a bang up job on my old 9531, and even gave me a different face plate since the one i had when i sent it in, was scratched.

yup.

i cant guarantee it the same price now. but probably 6 months or so ago it was. shit, they even pay for return shipping (i assume its included in the $95 though)

different cdm uses alpine old clear/opaque plug....cda9830 uses there newer black plug

yeah they want me to mail it to cali. said to put a check in the box with the radio. seems slightly sketchey. Can you give me details of how your repair went...how long did it take etc. I asked about it being a flat fee and she said it was not a flat fee but then said it would be 95/ maybe I misunderstood. Oh and I have to call back anyways because I don't know who I would make the check out to.
