I currently have the Alpine CDA-9887 and want a pop out screen unit. I have the H701 and C701 for porcessing with 4-volt out. Which is best for my needs? I weant the D105 because of the high speed IPOD acess I use Ipod all the time, and there is no brain to worry about. but I like the D310 for features, but it still has 2-volt out, will that change anything being I am using the 4-volt out om the H710?

The $volts out is used because I am running Ai-Net to the processor correct? and not the 2V from the HU?

have you ever had a flipout before? what im getting at is if you have the space for it you might want to consider a double din, w205.....

ive had both and i know especially my girlfriends alpine flipout after about 6 months it got really loose.....what i mean is everytime she hit a bump or something you could see the screen kinda rock back and forth.... my pioneer avic n1 had close to the same problem but not as bad as the alpine...... just recently got an eclipse avn5435 double din and i love it a million times better than my flipout....

Just got a D310. I ran through the comparisons between the D105 and D310.

here's what i've found:

(according to crutchfield.com)

D310 unique features:

- 7" LCD screen

- white LED secondary display for whe monitor is closed

- detachable control panel

- Plays CD-RWs

- Direct touch DVD menu

- Bass engine plus

- 4 channel time correction

- 3-position high/low pass active crossover

- bass and treble center frequency control

- subwoofer level and phase control

- i personalize for bass engine settings

- CD changer /TV tuner controls

- dual zone mode

signal/noise ratio: 105dB

D105 unique features:

- 6.5" LCD screen

- plays Divx and AAC files

- DVD Audio 2 channel mixdown

- 24-bit digital to analog converter

- 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Surround

- bluetooth compatable

- optical output

- center channel RCA output

- Steering-wheel remote ready

signal/noise ratio: 98dB

For your processors, both units can hook up to the H701 using optical cables for optimum signal transmission.
