Alpine CVA-1003 or CVA-1004?

It seems they are both about the same feature wise, and I think the 1004 is newer, but is there any reason tog et the 1003 instead? Pay picture quality wise, or is the 1004 the way to go?

The 1003 does not have 3 preouts that unit was mainly for someone who wanted navigation only, and I belive that model had a lot of problems with the flip out screen. I am not sure if the 1004 had those same problems or not.
