First, the alpine indash dvd player is almost brand new, used for 3 months in my friends millenia. Works as if it was brand new, no problems whatsoever.
Second, the alpine cva-1003 is a motorized indash screen. No dvd/cd player. Both the 1003, and the indash dvd player are linkable, so they work together. But heres the catch, the screen closes fine, but does not open all that great. Sometimes it opens, and sometimes it doesn't. We just wired it up so that it stays open all the time. No problems other than that. Comes with remote. Price is 400 shipped. The dvd player is worth 500 brand new alone.
