I was wondering for a while, because I'm still in the choice for a new sub with SQL in mind... leaning more with quality but still thump hard. Let's take a Type-R with a proper enclosure for All around SQL (ported 30hz?) and then a Type-X with it's proper enclosed (havent looked at official apecs) with both fed by their proper power ratings, like 500rms to the Type-R and 1000w RMS to the Type-X.
My question is how would I compare both subs? People bashes the X lacking in output, being more SQ oriented and the Type-r well... good all around but more SQL, close to spl...
I mean, in terms of output and not for sound quality, does the TYPE-X will wang LESS OR MORE than a R with their respective power? Right now, with what I read, I have the impression that the X is nothing pushing hard compared to a R...
