Alpine CDE-9881 problem!!! help!!

Hey all. I just installed my new Alpine CDE-9881 and whenever I put in a disc I have to push it in to get it in...and when it is in it just gives me an error message..and on top of all of that it rarely ejects the disc...what is the problem? am I f'ed?
