Say guys I know beans about protection mode or clipping so what would you guys think is happening.

Ok when I turn up the volume up kinda high it shuts off for a second then it turns on and works fine when I lower the volume would it be that it's just a cheap unit or would it be best that I install a 4 channel amp on it?

Now I really like what options it has example how I can set it up for my bass oh im running a seperate amp for a 12" Kicker speaker just for bass and my other four speakers I run them for mid's and highs off the stereo internal amp the Alpine comes with. My other four speakers are 4x6 I have a 93 ext/cab obs GMC truck.

Let me add this I was thinking of disconnecting the rear 4x6 speakers and placing over the rear pillards or 4x6 speakers some of those gray carpeted boxes with some 6x9 speaker what do you experts think of that and how more power of a amp should I get to run the four speakers and would it sound clearer if I install a 4 channel amp or is it not worth the money? I hope you guys get what im trying to do here im not the sharpest tack in the box oh don't agree. LOL

Alpine iDA-X200 USB/CD/MP3 In Dash Receiver (Might this stereo be better I never use my CD player?)

sometimes a simple short can cause the HU to cut out. this is prevented by improved wiring methods. no electrical tape should hold wires together. no bare copper should be visible at any connection - speaker or hu. insulated crimp terminals or solder and heat shrink are the two acceptable methods.
