Looking at these two heads after returning my Pioneer 6700MP to Crutchfield. I have to say they are awesome at customer service... I had the HU for 2 months and just could not get used to the sound.. they said if I was not happy they weren't... so I sent it back for credit. So now I am going back to the tried and true Alpine.

I want to be able to use my iPod... I don't mind using the iPod itself for song navigation.. this tends to lean me towards the 9845 ($180) with the rear AUX. Then all I would need is a stereo RCA to 3.5mm cord ($6). Total = $186

I have not heard much abou the Alpine iPod control unit that lets you navigate your iPod using the head unit. If it works well (fast and easy) then I would lean towards the 9847 ($200) but would require the purchase of the Alpine KCA-420i unit ($100). Unless I can just use the Alpine KCA-121B connector and a stereo RCA to 3.5mm cord ($6). If I could do that then I would definatly go this way...

Which way would you go??
