I just purchased a car that has the Alpine CDE-102 receiver. I'm trying to set up use for an iPod, and can't figure out how to shut off the dang AUX. I've read through the owners manual, and the directions are not working for me. Any suggestions? Maybe I need to buy the cable sold by Alpine instead of the car adapter cables I purchased elsewhere? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

AUX+ ON: Set to ON when a portable device is connected.

AUX+ OFF: Set to OFF when an iPod is connected.

HOW DO I SET IT TO OFF?!!!

you need to use the stock ipod cable that came with the HU or get the full speed cable.

as for turning it off im not sure, i havent used any of the newer units. my new is alpine is from 06 lulz, usually in teh advanced menu
