i just upgrade my head unit today and i want to get a Ipod for them, do anyone using Alpine CDA-9886 model? on Alpine web site they said the Ipod Nano will work with CDA-9886 but i know they will charge? thanks for your help.

Yes it'll charge, I believe all ipods charge besides the itouch/iphone.

Yup it charges my ipod classic and nano, just not my dad's iphone.

you can get like a $30 adapter though cant you? i wanna say ive seen something like that on sonicelectronix' website

It will not charge the 4th (newest) generation nano, 2nd generation iPod touch, or iPhone 3G. As far as I know it works fine with the 1st generation iPhone. Scosche has an adapter for about $30 as someone else stated. That'll get any of them to charge.

the adaptor came with the head unit but i'm not sure which Ipod will charge with the cable, i like the Nano because its small and it doesn't cost much, i will buy one from Wal mart this weekend.
