Alpine CDA-9855 Volume Problem

Hi, My Alpine CDA-9855 Head unit does something weird with the volume. When I turn the volume from 0-18 the volume increases. then from volume 19-30 the volume stays the same volume. then from volume 31-35 the volume increases again. this happens weather I use a high quality audio CD, a mp3 CD, tuner, or Aux. input.

why does this happen? is there a setting somewhere that makes this happen? How can I make it so that the volume increases through the volume level as it should be?

im not sure what the hell is that problem lol, but mess around with the volume off-set.

i had the same problem a while back, but the volume never increased again around 30-35. turn the MX off if you have it on and see if it fixes your problem. I had mine on b/c of satellite radio and the audio quality i was receiving but after some EQing, that fixed my problem after i turned MX off. hope this helps. i believe this was covered awhile ago on this board, do a search and you might find out some other info.

If you are willing to lose all of your settings you can try a hard reset. Perhaps some setting is causing this very strange error.
