Alpine CDA-9853

haha i just finished installing and messing with mine for the last hour and a half or so. it definitly takes a little while getting used to especially compared to my previous cheap and simple headunit. the glide touch feature is pretty cool it takes a couple mins getting used to after messing with it for a little while which is just what most people have told me too. some of the features arent too easy to change on the fly though. like its not something to be messing with driving down the road, but its expected i guess. umm other than that its a great unit and the sq is whats expected from alpine, i noticed a complete difference right away from my old headunit.

i love my 9853. it sounds much better than my old eclipse 8445. i like the way it functions as well. great unit. i was going to get another one to put in my truck, but i decided to wait for 06 models.

does the slide part feel like it will last over a year or two? I have never used one but I would imagine a touch sensitive part like that would have a some what limited life span.

feels just like a button. doesnt feel like it is going to break or anything.
