Anyone have experence with this deck?

I have a chance to get one at a pretty good price, I have been trying to hold out for a 9986 or a 9987 local but I keep missing them.

Anyone who has used the 9884 please drop me some feedback!

If you're looking at American models, I think you mean either the 9843 or 9845. The other models would be 9886 or 9887.

I fudged up on the model number I ment the 9884.

Looking to replace my Kenwood KDC-MP832U

It is essentially an updated 9883 but with IMPRINT compatability, an included IPOD cable, and I think different colors on the display. 2 volt outputs. 2 band parametric EQ. Nothing specific in its specs that really makes it stand out. For me it got the job done, not much more. My Alpines were more userfriendly and had better IPOD interfaces than my pioneer but other than that I had the 9883, 9884, and 9886 and don't miss any of them. Might feel differently had I tried the 9887 but didn't go that route.

Might try a 9887 if my Pioneer ever wears out but that's about all I'm interested in in that lineup. None of the rest of the Alpines have features anymore. It's all geared towards moving IMPRINT kits or pushing serious SQ fans to the 9887. Everything else is for the Best Buy crowd.
