Alpine CDA-9835 HU Tuning

I have had this for over 3 years without a mechanical problem. i just recently upgraded the system pushing nearly 2-3000w. This HU has all types of custom controls such as Bass Engine Pro (Crossover w/ Octave Slope), V-Drive MOSFET Amp, Subwoofer Level/Phase Control, MediaExpander.

I have blown a sub already and i think it has something to do with frequency mixups. Which ones should I use to gain the best output out of my system (Earthquake Subzero-12/Earthquake PHD5000w).

output is not there without the need to enhance these controls. i want to know which are detrimental and which are necessary.

is it possible 2 - 3kw of power is too much for your sub?

yea i thought so but this amp is not puttin out anywhere near that at the moment but it can so tuning the HU is crucial because i had an orion 1200d pushin 1 before the PHD5000w and it was pushin it harder than now
