i'm not to big on pioneer, so i say ///ALPINE.

Feature wise, pioneer. sound wise, pioneer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif the 8600 just better overall. They are more at 9833 or 9835 level instead of 9831.

get the pioneer premier deh-860mp that deck is bad ass 13 band Eq and 24 bit DAC's with 6v preamps and color display to boot. It rocks the alpines wahst funny is the only alpine with 24 bit DAC's is the F1 status system .

What kind of answer is that??? Makes no sense at all. So because you don't much care for Pioneer that the Alpine MUST BE a better unit. If thats your answer to someone who is kindly asking for advice then don't even bother posting.

What I can say is that the 8600 is really really nice. I haven't heard the Alpine so can't compare.

did he ask for a **** book report on witch one is better. . . no. he wanted an opinion so i gave him my opinion. your sig says go pioneer, but you've posted in this thread 3 times and still never even gave an opinion. quit your bit(hing!!!
