I just installed an Alpine CDA-9820 XM stereo Head Unit in my 04 F350 Crew Cab. I was wondering what your opinions are on this head unit because it seems as all of the various inputs have their own set of flaws.

It seems as though on the XM side my highs are somewhat lacking. On the Tuner side, my lows seem to be lacking. With the CD Player it seems that it is semi OK but I was still expecting better sound quality from this unit.

I would like to hear what y'all have to say about it.

Joe

PS. I would like to know at about what volume number you guys start to get distortion from the head unit amp.

because it's XM...

On the Tuner side, my lows seem to be lacking
because it's FM.

so you're not amping the speakers? Do that first, and then talk about the sound quality of the head unit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
